There are very few out there that have the heart that you do. You are very strong for continuing to do the work you do for some women despite what society thinks. I am very grateful and honestly can not think of words to thank you. I will say that because of you I can have a choice. I can continue to raise the family I have and I can feel the power as a woman to live how I feel and to be heard. Without your support I could not be this strong.

Thank you so much. My husband seriously injured his hand last year at work and his employer did not have workman comp insurance. We are trying to pay over $20,000 in medical bills. We have two children and are struggling financially and will be for some time. Once I receive my Master’s degree we will be more financially stable but until then we are living week to week. To EVERYONE, The funds received for my procedure were more beneficial than words can describe. I had a child 7 months ago and went through serious post-partum depression. If I had to have another child right now I would probably reached suicidal depression. Unfortunately, myself and my life partner are too poor to pay for anything except rent and food. I was given a date rape drug at a party which was bad enough but when I found out 6 weeks later I was carrying twins I was devastated. These difficult issues as women we face are far and beyond emotional issues at times. Sometimes it’s emotional, stress, and the hardest seems to be financial. And there comes a time when we have to swallow our pride and ask for help and that’s the hardest thing to face among all else is admitting you just can’t do it right now, and thanks to your selfless gift and donation I was able to freely decide without the additional burden of finances as well as other problems that seems to hit me all at once. Without the donation I received I would have never been able to get my life back on the right track and have this chance I now have. In the past 18 months of my life have been filled with tragedy left and right. I’ve lost 6 family members on 6 different occasions; I turned to alcohol and drugs to cover the pain and I made intoxicated decisions to find comfort in strangers’ arms. Little did I know the results of all of it at the time. I continued my downhill streak trying to cope with all the tragedy during this time. I was unaware that I was pregnant. I drank excessfully, smoked, lost my job, my family, and to top it off, faced with the decision to risk my life or have this procedure done, so without the funding I wouldn’t have been able to choose. Now with this second chance and a real eye opener I know I am better then this and am seeking help in all areas of my life to get back on the rite track. So with that being said THANK YOU! Thank you for giving me this chance, and the option to choose. Your donation will never be forgotten.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your help. I know being a young mother would have been tough. I am very young and unprepared for anything that would have happened without your contribution for me. I wish I could thank you in person, but they said that this would be enough. I am not ready to be any type of mother. I have a very sad background when it comes to how my family raised and treated me. I am definitely sure I might have treated this one the same. I would never have wanted that. I was in foster care at a young age and I know I was put there intentionally by both my parents because neither one wanted me. The day I found out I was pregnant for the second time, all I could think of was: what now? I am already a single mom trying to work full time, and going to school 21 hours at a local university. When I told the father of my recent child that I was pregnant again with his child, he basically told me to take care of the situation. The pregnancy with the first child was horrible cause I was alone. I knew I could not do it again. I could barely take care/provide for my child now. When making the appointment to get an abortion, I was told it would be an amount I could never come up with. Not on my wages nor because of the needs of my first child. I got on the internet and found the Peggy Bowman Second Chance Fund. I called my doctor back and asked them to please call you. The receptionist was almost certain that I could not get the remaining balance. When I got the call back that your organization would help me, I started crying. I actually felt that I did have a second chance with my life and could close this horrible chapter in my life. I thank you again for helping me. One day when I am stable and able help another woman in need like I was, I will definitely donate to the Peggy Bowman Second Chance Fund. You have no idea how amazing it is to know there are great caring people out there like you that care about how young women’s health is. I am so grateful and appreciative. I thought ending my life was my only solution. I couldn’t ask my family for help. They would say no and ridicule me. I have cried many nights not knowing what to do. I took drugs. To My Angel, The last week has been so hard and confusing for me and my husband. Both of us work full time and are raising two wonderful boys, ages 9 and 5. They are really everything to me and my husband. My health has not been to good the past year so having another baby now is something we just can’t do. We stay so busy in our lives now that a new baby would not fit. My husband is a farmer so we are always working Monday thru Sunday and our boys help us on the farm. We do it as a family.
